They have commercial jet boat tours on the Rogue River in Oregon. They've been used for quite a while in shallow waters like that.

I'm guessing they don't go as fast as that through the rapids on the Rouge.

Looked like he went airborne & hit the water after turning starboard about 22 1/2 degrees. Then it sounds like the jet just pushed him up on the bank
