    I know he was probably trying to get finished as fast as he could but 1 gear slower and he could have done a much better job plus a lot less wear and tear on the equipment. the tillage would have been more consistent, and he wouldn't have to go back over the area to do it correctly causing him more time in the field.
    It is not always how fast can you do the job, but how well can you do the job fast.

    One thing you can bet on, he probably wasn't the one who paid for it.
    When I was maybe 10 or 11 I went rip roaring across a field in a TD24 dozer in high gear without the blade, dragging a 20ft tandem disk My grandpa met the at the end of the field with his belt in his hand I got the message not to be running the dozer in High-gear
