I know he was probably trying to get finished as fast as he could but 1 gear slower and he could have done a much better job plus a lot less wear and tear on the equipment. the tillage would have been more consistent, and he wouldn't have to go back over the area to do it correctly causing him more time in the field.
It is not always how fast can you do the job, but how well can you do the job fast.

Unless, of course, he was going for laughs from his buddies (old school) or internet clicks (new school.)
