Dabble in building Street Rods. Have 2 of my own. I used to build DIRT modified in my younger days for a living. Enjoy 410 Spint Car a Racing, especially in southern Pa. Where I think they are the best in the country.

Hi Bowtie1952 - welcome to HomemadeTools.net
Sounds like you'll fit in nicely here.
What are you working on now? Anything interesting next up on your projects list?

Building an English Wheel, and info on a Plasma cutter for DIY plans. I have a pattern cutting machine, but I'm there is a local kid in business building street rods and I'm thinking about helping him a little bit. I miss not fabricating stuff all the time. I only get to do it now when I'm able to grab a few hours here and there. I'm on the road for the next 3 weeks, when I get home, I'm going over and building a chassis jig and we will have our own 32 Ford Chassis we will be building in 4 o 5 different arrangements. Plain, bobbed, c notched, pinched. and 29 rear crossmember. Need my fabrication fix.
Hi Bowtie1952,
Welcome!
Lots of car guys here (guilty!), so you've come to the right place!
Sounds like a neat project you'll have going once the new chassis jig is ready. Let's see some pics of your progress…

This reminded me of '49 Willys Wagon that we recently featured: 4x4Builds.net: 1949 Willys Station Wagon by 49willys_mogon
It's on a 4x4 site, but the fabrication work on the build is amazing, much more than what you see on a normal 4x4 build. Halfway through the discussion the builder reveals that he's got a couple of street rodders lending a hand.![]()
