Build dust separator more powerfull and useful

I think almost all shop need this tools.
This is an easy-to-build dust separator with a baffle. It works because the incoming air is forced around the outside wall, where the heavier dust and chips fall into the large trash can below. When driven with a blower like I use, the baffle removes the need for a standalone dust collection system (which not everyone has the money, space, or power to accommodate).

It is called a Thein Separator and they wok very well. Shorter than a vortex cone separator and nearly as efficient. This one has been going strong for many years and also has been well used with a homemade Holy Moley:Build dust separator more powerfull and useful-hpim0318.jpgBuild dust separator more powerfull and useful-hpim0320.jpgBuild dust separator more powerfull and useful-hpim0319.jpg I extended the air out tube through the top part purely for some extra rigidity no other reason. Very cheap to build and when used to dig holes I can swap out the catch bucket as they fill up.
