That's not far from the truth! That's why we all have to go through a more thorough background check to buy sinus decongestants than what is required to vote!

on the topic of Zip Ties (AKA Cable Ties), I am a odd ball (AKA, Cheapstake), in that I save all of those used on "packaged products", When possible!

In my variety of special tools, I keep a very slender flat head "jewelers/eyeglass screw driver", which I insert towards the back of that little Ratchet part.

Doing so opens to ratchet, and I can generally just pull the end out. Or needle nose pliers.

Yeah Spendthrift! But I also end up not buying as many Ties & and for bundleing a small group of 20 - 28 guage wires, to keep them from being a mess they are PRE CUT to a good length!

As I no longer hang off telephone Poles, nor Upside Down, If I need to melt the ends, I own a wonderful REFILLABLE Weller micro torch, and yep, the blob of melted plastic **is** nicer to the hands.

I just ordered up some Arduino's, and their Cousin, a Beagle Bone Black, SBC. It is my second Beagle Bone Black, the first one is a Dedicated Occiliscope, 2.5" Screen and that is a "cape" an "add on board", sold by Velleman Electronics.

It was a Definate Plug & Play, no code writing, etc. (My last ocilliscope was OWNED by the U.S. ARMY, and I imagine "EXPENSIVE") I think I had around $150.00 in both SBC & the cape, "cape being an endearment term by those who like the BBB for its American Design & Manufacture".

I am re-entering Single Board Electronics, as I having troubles running my lathes, etc. A soldering Iron I can still opperate!
