Agreed, if you put it in full screen and play in slow mo. the guy just barely swerved enough to avoid contact. All of the other vehicles respected the persons in cross walk law while this guy just sped on by all of them. Hope the video we saw was a traffic camera
Never try to tell me it can't be done

"Whenever any vehicle is stopped at a marked crosswalk or at any unmarked crosswalk at an intersection to permit a pedestrian to cross the roadway, the driver of any other vehicle approaching from the rear shall not overtake and pass such stopped vehicle."

Of course, then there's plain old common sense and courtesy.

THERE'S your mistake! There is no such thing as "common sense" anymore. It seems that rectocranial inversion is the norm now. No "social contract." No "Golden Rule." Screw you, and I'm getting mine! And the Devil take the hindmost! What we actually need, rather than a hunting license, is something that kills the stupid and vicious. OTH, if we managed to do that, there wouldn't be enough people left to bury the dead.

We've always left varmint carcasses where they fall. Kinda sets a border discouraging the rest.

Speed bumps at, say 50/60/70 meters on both sides of the crosswalk, will give the pedestrians ample time to run for safety before being hit by speedy vehicles.
