Agreed. I love eating meat, but we are playing with fire. High density animal farming, industrial dairy, even fur farms. Diseases that were previously required to become airborne to spread can now do so efficiently via close contact droplet transmission, because animals are placed so close together. Or pathogens learn new transmission tricks, like how H5N1 spreads through milking equipment. We are heavily reliant on reactive biosecurity measures like culling and pasteurization, but each transmission is another roll of the dice.
