Copper soft jaw faces for lathe chuck

I needed some soft jaws for my lathe and after seeing homeengineer's aluminum jaws:

I decided to make some for two of my chucks. The first set was for the 3 jaw and has an added plate
to protect the back of the part you are turning. Takes a bit more work but the added protection is worth it
for some projects:


Then on to the easy type. Just take some measurements and transfer them to paper. No measuring tools required, just use one of the jaws:


Cut them out from copper sheet:


Start the bending process:


Then I always save a small poster board template for next time, and there will be a next time.
