    The orange shirt guy knows the wire is hot. At about 12 seconds, he turns his face away as he tries to cut it. He fails the first attempt. But have to give him credit he kept after it.

    Does not seem very smart to me.

    If it is absolutely necessary to cut a live wire first, make sure there is no load on it. You have to fully insulate yourself and use insulated tools if not, once you cut into the hot wire you become the return path conductor. Never cut more than a single conductor at a time.

    And probably tried to cut the line and the neutral at the same time. Note the cutters were still hanging afterwards indicating they had been welded to the wire.
