    Personally, I'd be pretty hesitant to rev the plastic cover in any chuck, because I'd hate to melt the surface thru rubbing friction.
    A much less cumbersome setup is to not set the cover up at all, as shown by Bob (on Doubleboost's site),
    Some chrome polish, a few rags and 6 minutes of elbow grease in this case (YMMV):
