    A Lincoln head penny will do the same thing and only cost 1cent.Plave the penny on a wear bar and if the depth is enough to hide his hair to his forehead you have a few more miles left if his eyes are level with the tread you have several 1000 miles left if his whole head is hidden you have half the useable tread left. What could be more simple or cost less?

    You must live in one of those rich neighbourhoods. Around here the wear bars are when the belts start showing. If you do a burnout and see sparks, you know it's time to change your tires.
