Diy 20 ton hydraulic bench top press

My new video is about making 20 ton hydraulic bench top press.

Top is connected to the frame with 20mm ldx pins and four M8 bolts. ( bolts just spline axles against frame, and remove clamp )

Press can be disassembled easily, this helps if i need to carry it out from our basement.
Also, frame is designed to be used with 30 ton jack. Now i have room to upgrade it.
( only bed needs to be replaced with stronger one ) Making upgrade is easy, when i can remove top from the frame.

    Jack after modification.
Weld inlet is for filling the jack. That can be leave out, and use " breathing valve " for filling instead.
I just liked to have easy access to fillport.

Here's a size comparison with my first press.

Old one is still useful when bending thinner / really small materials. Also i had made a set of bending dies to it, so i decided to keep it in use too.

Made a table / stand for the press.
Table has two other uses too, those can be seen later.

Because there was empty space on this side of the table.
I made a simple clamp rack to get that space to use.

Material is stainless steel. Leftover pieces, so i just brushed it, instead of proper polishing.

I had some problems with my camera, couldn't restore all pictures earlier. ( and lost some of them totally, i supposed to add more pictures about the structure )

Top frame of the table is made from split 40mm x 40mm x 4mm square tubing. Rest of the frame is made from 40 x 40 x 4 square tubing. Shelves are made from 2mm stainless 316 sheet. Edges are bend down to increase strength of the shelf.

I marked the cutting line 6mm from the outer edge, and made cut with an angle grinder using 1mm thick wheel.

Diy 20 ton hydraulic bench top press-1.jpg

This way i got angle irons with a rounded edge, also i got the height suitable for the grill that's weld to the top.
But still having bottom side of the fabricated angle iron in same width with the actual frame of the table. ( size of the made angle iron 40mm x 33mm x 4mm )

Using square tubing didn't cost more.
I got enough angle iron from a 1300mm long piece of square tubing. ( 13€ )
When i would have need to buy 2600mm of 40mm x 40mm angle iron ( 12€ ), and still need to cut 6mm out from the one edge, to get it same height with the top grill. ( and wouldn't got nice round edge to it )

Diy 20 ton hydraulic bench top press-2.jpg

    Then i weld parts together.
