Dovetail saw leather sheath

And to finish with the dovetails, I made a leather sheath to protect the nice Veritas dovetail saw I gave with the kit.
I have not made the saw myself this time, thought I have already done one in the past, but I must admit the superiority of this Veritas saw, and I was also running out of time, so I purchased it.

But the sheath is from me.

Note that I have riveted the blade side seam, in order to avoid any damage to a threaded seam with the blade.

I want to make a suggestion for the next one. Fold the leather over the blade and put the rivets over the top of the blade. This way your teeth won't rub against the rivets and the teeth will only rest against leather.

Yes, it's possibility, but then the leather would have worn prematurely.
Actually, knives or tool sheath are done riveted, with a middle sacrificial layer against the blade
I was thinking about that when doing it, but I gave up, because the leather is glued under the rivets and the blade does not reach the rivets for now.
And eventually, the rivets are soft brass, so it won't hurt much.
