great repair man, most people would`ve thrown the tool. you dug into it and fixed, great! you stated the flex is for shock absorption it also helps side effects of misalignment which in these plastic toys is a great chance. recently i burned my nth dremel rotor and i`m so pissed i won`t buy one again. i was given an angle grinder that got the head gears busted but works, guess what i will reduce the tip of the rotor axle to take the dremel collet and use with the flex extension haha, 900w (against the 135 of the dremel) 30000 rpm max, with the variable speed from the grinder down to 6000. in your face dremel
