Especially if you are the one having to do it for yourself, but it sure makes for a better restoration than trying to clean with a cup brush on a grinder.
Never try to tell me it can't be done

Nah. You've got like 30 minutes before you get a splitting headache. Longer if there's a breeze.

All the more reason to wear a blasting hood with an air supply The CO2 from the dry ice would be murder on my sinus

You don't like having black crud come out every time you blow your nose?

I does look like a dream when your done blasting. I have done sand blasting on a large scale. Logging trucks, low bed trailers and equipment. Huge compressor! Us shop guys took turns at blasting. It was a ruff job. Even with the proper gear. It did the job though. Great at making your refurbishment job a new fresh start.
I don't know how they would grind the dry Ice small enough and keep it from clumping and sticking together in the hose though.

Co2 has that property of going from liquid to solid without being a gas. Liquid to the nozzle, dry ice out of the nozzle...

CO2 skips the liquid phase at standard pressure. It sublimates directly from a solid to a gas. CO2 can't achieve a liquid state below about 750 PSI.
