    I still have one, bought it about 30 years ago. Zotozip says they came out with the first model in 1972.

    They work well in plywood as well...

    Whaaaaat? Had to look; they are called "Guide Points". A drill point with unfluted section rides either perimeter of an electrical box. The cutter depth is set for thickness of drywall. It's all new to me!

    I have basically a small router made for drywall and as said before it uses guide point bits. They work great
