    There's something else going on there. Shorting out transformers up that high should not create a fireball down on the ground.

    Possibly the transformer tank ruptured, and the cooling oil poured out, then was ignited by the dual arcs. It did look like the fireball expanded downward through the bushes.

    I looked a few more times, with the sound on. On my 43 inch monitor. No little screen this time. I'm with you guys. Can even hear a hissing sound before the circuit interrupters pop.

    I've heard stories from an old ham radio operator who kept telling the power company there was something wrong with the transformer his house was fed from. They wouldn't do anything about it, so he shot a hole in it near the bottom. Oil ran out of it and it got hot , set the pole on fire and arced-out.
    Power company replaced it and all was well.

    Technically a deflagration, rather than an explosion, since the fuel was not contained when it was ignited, and it did not detonate.
    It's still neat to watch.
