Engine hoist + winch =

I usually work by myself. So when I needed to change my transmission I needed a way to lift and hold it. I could crawl in and out of my truck to pump and release the hoist, that was not happening, I had a winch laying around the shop and I got an idea. I found a piece of angle iron that would fit into the square tube on my hoist and mounted my winch to it. Raising and lowering the transmission was as simple as pushing a button.
