I used to work for a guy that made a TON of money doing this. He dropped an excavator on top of a building, and the excavator would pick away at the floor until it made a pile of debris. Then it would push the debris down to the next level to make a ramp. Then it would demolish the remaining pieces of the upper floor, and start on the next. Repeat all the way down the building. Not as fast as implosion but WAY cheaper if you consider how much protection structures around the demolition require.

Either that or they hauled them up in pieces like they do in the jungles of Brazil.
I figure they probably hired a friend of mine named Kevin to fly them up there

I don't imagine they have a nearby bathroom, and that they must haul fuel up by hand to refill the hoes. I wonder how many floors a day they can tear down, and how effective at dust control the guy is with the garden hose?

Watched them tearing down parts of the old Q.A. Hospital that way, meant the rest of the Hospital could remain open, did the whole place and rebuild in stages.
