Firefighting shotgun - GIFs and video

A shot gun that shoots a high pressure blast of water might serve well as a riot control device as well. Pretty sure they could come in handy at politically charged events as well

Similar concept visible in this urban drone firefighter rendering.

Too bad that CGI concepts rarely work out in real world applications. the reasons why that cannot ever fly are too many to mention. but it would be a cool piece of kit to have.

It is a cool concept but the materials (Transparent Aluminum) and energy source (Dilithium Crystals) hasn't been invented yet. Perhaps a visit from Mr. Scott would help.

Nice contrast to the futuristic render, and an excellent use of flip-flops.

I like the drone airframe concept. Firing AFFF [aqueous film forming foam] in the cannons would work A1. However water is 8 pounds per gallon, [and two man crew] sufficient volume versus available lift is a BIG problem. How much water does a pumper discharge to get 6 stories high? Maybe this could suspend a hose, save weight of pump and tankage on ground?
1960's children's toy, the "Water Wiggle" could elevate it's hose deflecting water stream back, like reverse in a jet boat. Just city pressure and 3/8" or 1/2" hose; what could an engine driven pair of 24" centrifugal pumps do?

with a half inch nozzle...slice up the building...LOL

One big issue is the wind that gets blown through the highrises..
But certainly is a great thought to start the alternative thinking process.

Public place, full of people. At least two security guards, one runs off clutching lapel microphone. Unlikely sandal wearing man and guard only witnesses. But illuminates training and situational awareness aren't perfect; at least one instance where coolheaded instinct and reaction saved the day with minimal distress.

I wonder if they got that idea from my grandmother? As a kid I saw her once rip off her apron to use to smother a grease fire while cooking.

Cool concept, but I find it easier to use a bumper line or a hose reel. Also a lot easier cleaning up.

So much fun here at HMT.net......bumper line, it turns out not a punchline, but where a fire truck can dispense hose!
Admittedly, I'll google [not Bing, yahoo, DuckDuckwhatever or other imaginatively named mode] any unknown term. And IE, are you kidding?
More scholarly pursuits, I hit Wikipedia and Copernic.
Otherwise, tendencies are analog. https://tinyurl.com/mb3fgkj
