Perhaps these types of explosions are more visually impressive than damaging? I had never heard of a wheelbarrow static charge accident before.

Contrast with this video of a man being pulled into a lathe: Worker accidentally pulled into lathe . That one doesn't look too bad, like he just lost his shirt, but that one is reported as him having later died of his injuries.
