First aluminum casting, from beginning to end

[Weekend Warrior Welding]

I built, from scratch, all of the tools necessary to cast aluminum in just one weekend. Everything from the crucible to the casting sand and everything else you will need. The first thing I made was a heart for my wife for Christmas, but next up is a replacement part on an electric motor that is decades out of production. Anyway, I made a video of the process for anyone interested in how to do that.
