This post had a flipped photo, I tried to remove it all but it kept the pix. Look at the next post instead.

It would be painted if it was mine.
I have driven what I was told was a 1953 model but that had paint on it.

That body style was 1958-1960. Regardless, I am jealous of your opportunity to drive that thing.

I could see that it was different from the 1953 in the initial post and I wondered about the year. I was either told incorrectly or the error is in an old man's memory. I was younger then, 1984, it was during my first trip to the US. It was on some lovely winding mountain roads somewhere outside of LA. I also drove it again in 2005. At the risk of upsetting Corvette enthusiasts here I must say that I was not impressed by the handling. The solid rear axle did it no favours.

2005. The man with the camera is the late Craig Vetter, who will be known to any motorcyclist reading this.

Tony the dual headlights came out in 1958, The body style with the hollowed out in the doors came out in 56. 63 ushered in the stingray years but the split rear window only lasted through that year. The only thing a 2026 corvette shares with its 73-year-old predecessor is the name and possibly some parts may still be made by the Chevrolet division of General Motors.
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products
