Well, the reason is that it will probably lead to dermatitis, particularly around the fingernails. This is painful. You get fine cracks appearing, which are slow to heal. Of course, you could put on a barrier cream. That looks like a fast grab adhesive, so is probably more aggravating. But what does it say on the container?
