I do like to use your idea of using a grub screw instead of single point threading all those handles. I keep a supply of grub and other threaded rod around to avoid threading.

Hi Carl.

There is rarely a time where screwcutting is preferable to adding grub screws. Amongst the benefits are - less parent material - far far quicker - no weak undercut & a stronger thread material.

Hi Mook:

I'm also a dumpster diver and one Sunday I hit the dumpster at a nut and bolt house. They must have just done a major clean up since their dumpster was loaded with threaded rod cut offs and overstock bolts. Must have pick up #500 of hardware. Now I only but special sizes I need in bulk.
