I think it is interesting that his first cut is aligned by feel (0:55); it is probably nearly as close as if he would have used some indicators on a rough part. Once he has one true edge, the rest is done with known blocks and indicators. (and CNC)

I have seen a few of his other videos - amazing to watch him work.
