The more time you spend on a project, the better the outcome. Creativity and quality workmanship are at their greatest when not subjected to the pressure of deadlines. Understandably, this only applies on uncommissioned projects done by average Joes. Professional builders do not have such luxury. Another thing that comes into play is dedication. Small time builders may lack the tools or creds but their dedication makes a huge difference.

Builder hacknwhack on JalopyJournal.com is by no means an average builder and this '51 Buick Special Deluxe is testament to that. Aptly named "The Shane Asylum", Shane spent more than 9 years working meticulously on this classic. None could be more satisfying than seeing the car you've worked for the past decade turned out this cool.
