Hello from Northern California

I am an advanced wood worker and an intermediate, self taught, work in progress machinist. I have MIG and TIG as well as gas welding rigs. As the instructor put it "if welding was an academic class, you'd be the best we had".

I make all sorts of tools for both woodworking and machining. I've designed and build several sharpening / lapping machines. I build brass wood planes from scratch. I enjoy building and using all sorts of tools. I fortunate enough to have large woodworking and machining shops.

I have started a group to collect high quality hand woodworking tools and get them to people in the world who do hand work and need tools. The last shipment went to Mozambique..

Sounds as though you've got a lot to contribute! We'd love to see some of the tools you've built. If you post them to the forum, we'll add them to the database and create a builder page for you to share elsewhere online.

I'm personally looking forward to checking out some of those brass wood planes. Cool stuff!!
