    knoba's Tools

    Hi

My name's knoba, from Sussex, in England. I like making stuff, of which, some examples are already listed on homemadetools (knoba from mig-welding.co.uk & knoba.wordpress.com).

Lots of great ideas on here! I appreciate the whole open-source concept and a neat place for engineers to share their ideas & designs.

I'm currently working on the wife ...to let me convert the house into a gigantic open-plan workshop, so she & the kids can live nice & comfortably, in the garage. Progress hasn't been amazingly strong, tbh. She totally scuppers and maliciously blocks any, and all, of my suggestions in this subject...

Hi knoba - welcome to HomemadeTools.net

I'm familiar with the knoba at mig-welding.com.uk tool builds, but I don't believe I've seen your knoba.wordpress.com blog. Cool stuff; we'll get those builds added to the encyclopedia this week.

Negotiations with the significant other are a common topic of discussion around here!

    Thanks for the welcome, Jon!

Of course, I was only joking about that business with the missus.

On a completely unrelated matter; where would be the best place to post, for build advice on a functional medieval torture rack?

Thanks for the welcome Altair, and thanks for the feedback too!

I also make my own toothpaste, & if I had the resources (time mostly), I'd make my own clothes & shoes too...

    Hi knoba,

    Welcome!

The rack is an easy one. You could always start there and then proceed to more mechanically complex devices…

    Great blog, BTW.

Thanks Ken! That makes an all-time, grand total, of 3 bits of good feedback I've had with that.

I'll have to go a bit black-op on "project collateral damage", or my fastener stock will be ousted from the kitchen...
