Hi everyone, I've just had a look at this site and my to do list of interesting projects just got a whole lot bigger..

I'm a hobbyist welder come woodworker and I love learning new skills, Pinterest just keeps adding to that list and I'll be 1000 years old and still won't have scratched the surface of what I'd like to make..

Hopefully the sparky will have the electrics wired into my shed/ workshop on the weekend so I'll start to get the ball rolling over the next few weeks when I get it cleared a bit..

I do a bit MIG and TIG at work from time to time so that got me interested in the welding side, a friend recently gave me an ancient 140 stick welder that belonged to Noah which I've had limited use with but I'm willing to keep at it as it will have its uses when i can eventually lay down a decent weld. Mig is so much easier to work with and so far my very limited stick work makes me want to leave my screen on out of shame.

Ha, I'll get there, eventually....

I also have a Shopsmith mk5 which has been under wraps for a few years just waiting for me to get round to finding a home for it and reliable power supply so that's two birds with one stone this weekend.

Any interesting jigs or metal benders I can weld would be great, I keep an open mind as most projects have me in awe..

I'll look forward to seeing what this site has to offer...
