Home made Japanese Nakiri (vegetable) knife

    Hi all.
Hope everyone is keeping safe and well.
Here is my first attempt at a Japanese style blade with a Hamon finish. For those who might not know what that is, it is a traditional Japanese technique to both improve the function of a sword or knife, but also looks pleasing. The idea is, when you harden the steel, you cover the spine of the blade with a paste or cement, that will prevent the spine from hardening while the edge does. When the blade is later dipped in Ferric Chloride, the two levels of hardness darken to different shades, giving the effect.
    Anyway, hope you like it.
