Home made part off tool holder for the lathe.

I made this part off tool holder after winning a kennametal part off tool on ebay. I started with a chunk of 2"x1-3/4 4041 and machined the dovetail, the recess for the part off tool instelf and 3 holes for the cap screws to tighten it down. I parkerized it to help it from rusting.

This is my favorite part off tool and holder.

-Whoa! Nice job! Did you bead-blast it before parkerizing? Darned nice machining and surface!

I can't remember to be honest but it is very likely I did. Thank you for the nice compliment.

Congrats. I use a similar Sandvik parting tool with an adapter like you built. Parting is no longer such sweet sorrow, but rather actually quite pleasant...
