Homemade "mitre saw"

My grandchildren saw my mitre saw and asked for one of their own, and I could not disappoint them.
Since I don't like those lengthy measure-cut-mark-drill vids with dramatic music, mine is very thin: how was the saw made and how does it look like in action. Don't worry, the blade is 4 mm plywood... Enjoy.
