Wondering about those vibrating chambers, steel balls banging around propelled by compressed air, in a short sealed cylinder, attached to side of hopper?
i do not think that there is any need for complicating things. Decades back I had a blaster with a deep hopper and hence steep sides. There was never any problem with that. With my present machine which has a combination of the stock shallow surfaces and my steep additions. It is only the original shallow sections that hold the media. The steep sides always stay clean. Anyway although not perfect I can easily live with what I have now, an occasional knock with a knee will dislodge any buildup. Other than having a sump with steep sides all around the simplest solution to avoid buildup might be to have some small compressed air bleeds aimed at the accumulation areas, a moving film of air.
