This 1934 Ford Model 40 Cabriolet, built by Annie on NSRA.org.uk, is a three-year resto rod done by a professional and dedicated builder.
The '34 was built with a Heidt's super ride up front, a Ford 9" rear, and an LS1 under the hood.
One of the rules was "no fiberglass", which meant a lot of meticulous metalwork to make everything look and fit well, especially because there were lots of "hidden horrors" from previous butcher jobs on the vehicle.
One of the commenters in the build thread, MisteR Tee, made an especially accurate observation about gaps and fitment on these older vehicles: "That is the problem with doing what we do to these old cars, they weren't that precision built to start with, but if you leave it as it was built, everyone will see the discrepancies & comment on it, so what do you do?"
In the case of this '34, you sweat every gap, and you work on it until it's perfect.
