Where I'm from (shore of the Atlantic Ocean) we don't build houses on beaches because waves would hit them and knock them down...

Looks like the Outer Banks, NC. They refer to the houses along the ocean-side beach as "Point" houses because they cost 2 point 5 million, or 1 point 7 million (for a cheap one!), or 3 point 7 million etc. The people that built the houses across the road behind the ones on the beach were wise because it was MUCH cheaper and their property will become beach front soon!
