Good use of many non-used tool handles. Myself, I use an open end wrench as simple pry bar - no hammer needed, and one can tell how much force is applied for removal - no "guess whacking". Finally, I NEVER put a file between the hardened steel jaws of a vise, then whack the handle on. Good way to mar the teeth on a good file. Always use soft jaws - copper, aluminum, credit cards, wood, whatever.

I forgot to add - I never discard the old screwdriver shaft. Goes into shafts bin. Has many potential uses.
