    HOWDY!

    Hey y'all,
I'm just an old poor boy from the south. We have always had to make do with what we have on hand so this website (it would seem) is right up my alley. I appreciate all the knowledge that is shared freely as well as the people who share it and the folks who maintain the site.

    Hello Jon,
I have always thought Colorado would be a great place to live. In answer to your question, I am interested in metal forming tools like (eventually, after I get a welder) an english wheel, a planishing hammer, etc. I would like to start with something fairly simple like an anvil. Of course I will have to weigh the pros and cons of each tool. Sometimes you are better off to buy than to build, especially if you can get a good deal on a used item.
I have made small tools in the past (that didn't/don't exist) related to locksmithing. I made a tool back in the early 90's that I showed to the Snap-on guy that came by our body shop and about 4 months later he was selling one that was suspiciously similar! So those are some of my interests. What are you into?
