Not to mention holding the barrel, but unless some kind of reflow work, one handed soldering is kind of "how in the hell?".
But she's wearing outdoor tint safety glasses!

Somebody plug that soldering iron in the woman is holding let's see if her calluses are thicker than mine. I can hold some pretty hot things but nowhere near as hot as those things get
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products

I wound up with 3 of them, 2 500's & a 350. Got a job doing some copper gutter work & found out the "big" soldering iron I had wasn't big at all & found them on ebay for really good prices. When I got the first one it came with the box & cradle & I plugged it in to see if it would work & 5-10 minutes later it was glowing dull red in the dim light in that corner of the room. They do make solder flow real fast.

and that's from the last time it was plugged in. 20 paces plugged in live.

The best known brand of those "American Beauty". I can't find the picture, but in the 50's there were Rosie Riveters assembling Amphenol style plugs with them, probably in the 150w 200w range.

I inherited a junior version. It's about half the diameter. I let it heat up once and it kinda scared me.

We've got a club going here, I have 3 of these large guys too. American Beauty brand is definitely a great choice and they're usually available on eBay at a good price. The right tool for soldering sheet metal. If you're fabricating brewing equipment, copper gutters, metal boxes, etc. you'll love 'em.
