    Lathe Chuck Wrenches/Keys

I needed some longer shanked chuck keys for my Lance Lathe. This is so the handle would clear the trya on top of the headstock. Materials: Square End, W-1 Drill Rod, machined for a press fit, hardened and tempered. Shank, 316 Stainless Steel 1" heavy walled tubing. T-Handle, 1/2" x 12" 316 Stainless Steel. 3/16" and 1/8" steel roll pin/spring pin, for retention of the square end and t-handle.
Check out my You Tube channel on this project and many others.

Very first class project using stainless 316 and W-1 drill rod. I like your YouTube video on how to make these.
