Lets brain storm, repurpose this RAS

I have an old Dewalt RAS that is in pieces. Its not going back together as a saw.
I may use the adj. for an English wheel build unless I come up with a better plan for this saw post/track.

Thinking there is some sort of tool for metal working here?

    Ideas?

A surface grinder might be a option, but will have to make some parts for auto feed.

Put it on craigs list and use the money to buy what you want at Harbor Freight. English wheels are kind of critical on tolerances.
The people that make there stuff have copies well.
    Bad decisions make good stories.

I tried the craigslist thing, not worth the hassle for what I can get for it. Its already in pieces, with some of those pieces gone.
its got little worth. I like the idea of a louver roller.
Worst case I add a bright light to it for detail work on little stuff and swivel out of the way.
But I think I can come up with something better.
Buying @ HF is fine when need be but not really in the spirit of a homemade tool.

Mount a router on the arm, put some rollers on the bed, and it could be a good surface planer for flattening large rough or cupped boards. Mostly I've seen jigs where the router is moved down the length of the board on a couple of rails, but here you'd just have to slide the board along on the rollers and move the router back and forth. You'd need some kind of mount for the board so that the plane you're routing stays the same.

no way of mounting drill head?
if you could lengthen rear shaft would make great drill press.
or fit chop saw motor to it for cutting wide pces?
