low profile vise

I have a Sherline mill with limited working distance between the bed and spindle so this would be great for it. This kit uses an aluminum extrusion for the mill table. Do I need to worry about deforming it with this kind of vice?

I have a Taig mill, also with an aluminum base, and have not noticed any problems with this vise.
