I have been a fan of Mr. Luty and his designs for many years now. DIY guns like this is why no matter what legislatures try to ban this or that, anyone who is at least a bit handy can make these very easily. With a few changes, you can make a legal (sort of) semi automatic version.

Do you happen to know if anybody has successfully made one of these?
Jut want to know because there are many books out there of DIY projects, but when made they don't work as claimed. For example the old Popular Science ads for the DIY turbine engine "Screaming Demon".

I can say that I have personally fired one of these. the ones that don't work really did not follow the plan. It's kind of like a StEN. Just an open bolt gun.
