How low on the intellect scale do you have to be not to know you never reach over a spinning shaft.
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products

That is the least gory spinning shaft accident GIF I have seen.

The luckiest man on the planet. A shop I worked at the same type of accident happened. The tech was dyno testing a rebuilt Detroit diesel 671 with no screen on the blower. He reached over the top to check something and in milliseconds he only had sleeves and part of the collar. Again lucky to walk away. Remember the Detroit Tigers pitcher Mark Fidrych that was killed working on his farm truck. He was underneath and got caught in the pto driveshaft. So sad.

Sadly, these sort of accidents happen all too often. It just takes a slight lapse in concentration. Also people should not be around machine with loose clothing - especially sleeves on overalls. Generally down to lack of management, poor training and ultimately a lack of common sense.

His safety flip flops didn't help him that time! A $20 plastic shaft cover would have helped there.

Poor safety standards with cheap labor seem to go hand in hand, I am amazed that so many bare feet are on view with Utube vids in Pakistan in heavy metal industries!
There does not seem to be enough accidents to make anybody concerned or maybe they don't give a dam.

Safety standards and rules are written in blood and grief, all spurred by business' desire for greater profits.
