Recently I was called on to make a custom screwdriver. Using stock hex bits and some acetal plastic rod, I was able to produce a rather serviceable tool.

Nice! But don't use those garbage DeWalt bits. They are cheese grade garbage. They round off after only a couple uses.
I mean, it doesn't impact your build at all. Just swap the bits for something that will last longer than 25 seconds.
I agree DeWalt tools are not the quality they used to be it is now overpriced average, for what its worth I have used Erbauer posi bits with good results, For a budget item they have lasted well, I bought a pack of 20 about 10 years ago and still have 6 left. (disclaimer).Quote:
