I have done a zillion sidewalk installations and it is pretty astounding what kind of caution apparatus people will walk through.

You would think that even though the tape was imperfect they might want to kind of pay extra attention to where they are going but, no way, that tape was most definitely for someone else.

There is one installation I have put up a number of times that I nicknamed the Human Flyswatter, you would think people would never walk near something like that but nope, Starbucks is calling and nothing will sway them from the most efficient path to their coffee (and possibly their demise if they had the worst karma ever).

We had just finished a fresh sidewalk pour that had plenty of warning signs and sawhorses marking it. A woman in heels, walking on the other side of the street crossed over at mid-block to walk in the wet cement.

Giant orange barrels, caution tape, construction workers and equipment all over, signs everywhere... Obviously they did nothing to stop this guy!

He might have wound up as a Deadman walking doing that on some of the constructions sites I've been on. There have been finishers go nuclear over a whole lot less
Never try to tell me it can't be done

Notice this idiot had no reason to head across the first section of sidewalk. He was crossing it to walk on the rocks?
