If you're working on something that doesn't require exact precision, there are a number of things you can do to help you get the job done more quickly and efficiently. In this video, I demonstrate some ways to do a quick gauging of measurements. Now, this video is relative to blacksmithing but these tricks can be used in any craft. It all boils down to familiarizing yourself with your workspace.
