    Now that's a very rare and interesting piece - a Belidor bascule bridge, a rolling counterweight double-leaf bascule bridge,.

    Reason for construction: A perfectly counter-balanced bascule bridge, needing a minimum of work to lift.

    Guess the first US example of this type was Berry's Creek, N.J. bascule bridge...
