While extremely versatile and efficient milling internal threads will never replace taps. For one not everybody has a CNC mill, secondly you can't chuck a CNC mill in your pocket and climb a mast to effect a repair or make an addition, thirdly a tap can be used where a CNC mill just cannot access.
Wonderful in a manufacturing environment but no use when the power goes down and a hole needs to be tapped or a thread repaired in order to make the generator work.
Still a marvel to watch, almost as satisfying as as a shaper!
